The situation on TVP in recent days has been a never-ending soap opera. The new authorities are making internal arrangements regarding changes in Public Television, and the last people associated with “Dobra Zmiana” are still on the “sinking ship”. It is symbolic that, apart from Edyta Lewandowska and Marta Kielczyk, there are no presenters who would like to host the evening “Wiadomości”. We don’t need to remind you what a magical time is ahead of us – Christmas is fast approaching and it’s a perfect time for reconciliation. We do not know whether people associated with TVP have the same opinion, but this did not stop them from singing a Christmas carol, which was published on Telewizja Polska’s social media.
“TVP Info journalists sing Christmas carols. Hey, Christmas carol, Christmas carol!” – this is the full entry under the recording published on the “X” website (formerly “Twitter”). Apart from the already mentioned Kielczyk, Aleksandra Kostka and Agnieszka Oszczyk, associated with the TVP Info news channel, also took part in it.
“Let the first star shine, so that the long-awaited time will come. When everything will be bright, and there will be more light in us. Let the first star shine, to give us all a reason to meet. So that you would want to come home, become a child for a little while.” – sounds the beginning of the carol.
“That scream is kind of funny.” A caroling defensive reaction?
But the further into the “forest”, the funnier it gets. “This scream is ridiculous and the noise of the streets is great” – these words sound grotesque, to say the least, in the light of current media events. Are the presenters counting on a surprising Christmas present? In this case, dreams are unlikely to come true.

Internet users, of course, did not miss such an easy opportunity to express their amusement at the Christmas recording from TVP. “You are grotesque! F****, Gombrowicz and Mrożek together would not have invented such a circus!”, “You sing, sing, soon you will sing poorly”, “They paid for state funds for many years and today they are singing Christmas carols, hypocritical hypocrites” – these are just some of the unrefined opinions of those commenting on the entry.
In previous years, TVP also involved its employees in carol singing. Last year, together with Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka and the Góralskie Carolers, they performed “Przybieżeli do Betlejem”. We are already rubbing our hands thinking about the upcoming Christmas – for some it will be the last one on Public Television.
