A nervous atmosphere prevailed in the studio during Thursday’s episode of “Miyła 20”. That day, the host talked to the invited guests about the protest in front of the Polish Television headquarters. The participants of the demonstration opposed the changes taking place in the public media in connection with the takeover of power by the current opposition.
Dispute in the TVP Info program. The presenter fiercely defended Rachoń: “Give me peace”
Among the politicians debating this event was MP Piotr Borys from the Civic Platform. When asked about the principles on which the changes would be introduced, the politician referred to the amounts that public media employees earned during the last years of the rule of Law and Justice. Boris’ statement caused outrage among the host: “I won’t let you insult my colleagues!” – said Monika Borkowska.
The host of “Pass 20” expressed another objection when the politician mentioned Michał Rachń, who in his opinion gained the most from cooperation with TVP: “Give editor Rachon a break!” – appealed the journalist. The clash between Monika Borkowska and Piotr Borys occurred again a few minutes later. Then, the host of the “Pass 20” program decided to stop the politician from speaking, but he continued speaking. Then Borkowska blurted out: “Do we still have communication or not?” and smoothly moved on to talk with the other guests.
