TVP’s “Wiadomości” is running wild. They lie that the new government will eliminate, among others, “M is for love”

Although none of the programs of the political parties that will soon take power as part of the October 15 Coalition mention the liquidation of public media, but rather their depoliticization, the “Wiadomosci” team continues to lie to the viewers. In the last edition of the TV daily TVP1 it was said that after the change of government, popular series and entertainment programs would disappear from the station’s schedule. The author of the material is a certain Adrian Borecki.

In recent days, the anti-opposition narrative on TVP has been presented with varying intensity. While most of the so-called national media focuses on presenting the eight years of rule of the United Right as the best period in Poland’s recent history, including those in which TVP employees openly mock their viewers.

TVP’s “Wiadomości” is a bit subdued, but some reporters are still in disgraceful shape

Just before 8 p.m., Edyta Lewandowska with a poker face announced Adrian Borecki’s material entitled “Viewers have the right to choose.” – Our journalists constantly face threats from Tusk’s politicians who want to influence who should work in the public media and who should not. These are Belarusian standards, the journalistic community responds, said a TVP employee.

This is just one of many similar messages that have been broadcast on TVP for several weeks, but this one is particularly false. In addition to recalling the statements of politicians from the Coalition on October 15, who had the pleasure of hosting the so-called national media, the author of the material made a bold statement that the new owners of public media will eliminate well-known and popular programs that have nothing to do with politics.

And that’s not the end. Poles will not be able to watch the best news programs, series, game shows, entertainment programs or sports broadcasts. Poles still have the right to choose – with these words the author summed up his tendentious material.

Borecki stated this based on rumors that the Coalition on October 15 was to freeze the funds that have generously financed TVP in recent years. In the background, fragments of such programs as: “M jak miłość”, “One of ten”, “The Voice of Poland”, and a fragment of the match of the Polish national volleyball team were shown.

Changes in the functioning of Telewizja Polska will soon become a fact, but so far no one has mentioned anything about the liquidation of programs not related to politicians. As recently reported by “”, new heads at the highest levels of power of Telewizja Polska are to be selected first. The speech includes: about the appointment of Tomasz Sygut, who is to be responsible for the information and journalism department, and about Paweł Płuska, who is to be responsible for the new news daily, which is to replace “Wiadomości”.
