I put the scarf in the freezer for 24 hours. It sounds stupid, but I have peace all winter long

In winter, we never leave home without a scarf, hat and thick sweater. We are warm and comfortable, but when we return home we notice lint in our clothes. The fuzz also settles on hair and handbags. Instead of bothering with cleaning later, use a certain trick.

When it’s snowing and frosty outside, we wrap ourselves up from head to toe before leaving the house. During this period, one of the most important pieces of clothing is a large, warm scarf. Unfortunately, each of us knows that feeling when, after some time of use, the scarf no longer resembles the original one. There are balls and fuzz on it, which also settles on everything around it.

A way to deal with revealing clothes. Forget about fuzz and fluff

A scarf worn regularly for several months will sooner or later begin to pill. It looks unsightly and creates problems because the fluff sticks to the jacket, handbag and hair. Contrary to appearances, this does not mean that the scarf should only be thrown away.

If you want to improve it, you can buy a clothes shaver or a special roll of adhesive tape. Unfortunately, this does not guarantee that all the balls will detach and that you will not have to remove them manually. One home remedy comes to the rescue. It will help you save time and money. One thing is enough.

How to prevent a scarf from leaving lint? Try the freezer trick

Pack the scarf with lint coming out of it in a plastic bag. Wrap tightly, tie and place in the freezer for 24 hours. After this time, take out the scarf, wait until it thaws and shake it off. All the balls should fall off on their own. Another good way is to stick adhesive tape to the scarf. In places where you see fuzz, stick a piece of tape and tear it off with a vigorous movement. The fluff will come off with the tape. Also remember to wash the scarf according to what is written on the label. Some models cannot be put in the washing machine. Use fabric softeners and antistatic agents to prevent the scarf from electrifying.
