This year’s call was dedicated to children’s and family shows, in the same way that previous ones were focused on literature, music, audiovisuals, video games and the performing arts.
“Argizagi” is an animated series that will consist of five or six chapters with a duration between five and ten minutes. The earthling Izei will meet the aliens Ekai and Nahi, and together they will open a bridge of light that will connect two different planets.
A jury made up of the actress Amaia Henneboute, Ana Revuelta, from the Artaziak collective for artistic education, the musician Josu Bergara and Martxel Zubia, responsible for the children’s space at the Durangoko Azoka, Saguganbara, highlighted that the project responds to the needs of the Basque language. in the digital field, that it is a quality product and that it can make an important contribution in the pedagogical field.
The winners were very happy. “We did not expect it,” they declared to the media, with the check for 15,000 euros in their hands. “We wanted to create a children’s series, because the interests of the three of us converge. Uxue works on illustration, Miren works on sound, and I (Ihintza) works on dubbing.”
The three young women have also been enthusiastic about the creative path. “One of the objectives of the project is to collaborate with professionals with more experience than us,” they say.
It is already immersed in the script phase, and we will have to wait a year for “Argizagi” to take us on a trip among the stars.
