“Godzilla Minus One” conquered American cinemas, becoming the highest-grossing Japanese film in this part of the world. The production also received phenomenal reviews from viewers and film critics on Rotten Tomatoes. In Poland, on the other hand, “Godzilla” can only be seen in one of the largest cinema chains.

The latest production, “Godzilla Minus One,” made a sensation in the United States, with its world premiere on November 3 this year. In Poland, the film was released on December 1, almost a month later. Both viewers and film critics are impressed by Gojira Mainasu Wan, which has become the highest-grossing Japanese film shown in American cinemas. The production collected as much as 97%. positive reviews from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience rated it similarly, as they were 98% satisfied with the film.

We have a new hit. “Godzilla Minus One” attacks cinemas

With a small budget of just $15 million, “Godzilla Minus One” has already grossed nearly $14.36 million. For comparison, the production budget of “Marvels” totaled $274.8 million. Due to the huge interest in the Japanese production, its distributors decided to expand the list of American cinemas where it will be shown on the big screen. So far, viewers have been able to see the film in 2,308 locations in the United States. Now their number will increase to 2,540.

In Poland, “Godzilla Minus One” was released only in one of the three largest cinema chains. We are talking about Multikino, where two or three screenings of a Japanese story about a murderous monster are scheduled every day. However, “Godzilla” is not in the repertoire of the Helios and Cinema City cinema chains, which, responding to a viewer’s question under one of the Facebook posts, stated that: “The decision will not change.”
