Are you tired in the morning and the ice won’t go away? Few people know this scraper function

Icy car windows are a nightmare for many drivers. Then it’s worth having a scraper at hand. One Internet user discovered that she had been using it incorrectly for many years. Now she has revealed how to use a scraper correctly to get rid of ice as quickly as possible.

A window scraper is an elementary, easy-to-use element that can be found in virtually every car. This is one of those accessories that a driver should always have at hand. One TikTok user realized she had been using it wrong all along and decided to let other people know in the video that they might be making the same mistake.

Scraping frost and ice from car windows faster? You just need to know the scraper trick

It turns out that scraping ice off your windshield incorrectly is possible. One of the TikTok users recently discovered that she had been using the scraper incorrectly for many years, which resulted in her struggling to get rid of ice from her windows. Charlotte Brown, under the pseudonym @charlottebrown, posted a short recording on her profile in which she explained what her error was and showed how to properly use a scraper to get rid of ice or frost from the surface of the windows in a few moments.

Charlotte Brown admitted in the film that she always used the flat side of the ice scraper. However, she didn’t realize that the lug side had any purpose. She then presented to:

  1. Start by scraping the icy surfaces with the nubbed side,
  2. Then turn the scraper over and use its flat side.

This not only allows you to get rid of ice or frost from your windshield faster, but also to do it with minimal effort.

A window scraper is not always needed. Home remedy for frozen windows

Preparing a home-made mixture can help many drivers, especially in the morning when time is running out, to quickly and efficiently deal with frozen car windows. What’s more, you will only need two ingredients to prepare it, i.e. water, preferably distilled, and alcohol, e.g. denatured alcohol.

  1. Mix 3/4 alcohol and 1/4 water in a spray bottle.
  2. Shake the mixture vigorously and it’s ready.
  3. Spray the frozen windows with the prepared liquid and wait a while.
  4. Finally, gently remove everything with a squeegee.
