Tomasz Duklanowski went to Africa. The former editor-in-chief of Radio Szczecin did not appear at the hearing

At the end of November, Tomasz Duklanowski said goodbye to Radio Szczecin. However, it did not end with his resignation from the position of editor-in-chief. It turned out that on Monday, December 4, he did not appear at the court hearing because he went on a mission to Africa.

Last Thursday, November 30, Tomasz Duklanowski handed over his resignation from the position of editor-in-chief of Radio Szczecin to the president of the station, Wojciech Włodarski. Thus, he took over his duties temporarily. It is possible that this decision was dictated by legal issues that Duklanowski was to face on Monday, December 4. He was to appear in court for a hearing in a civil suit for infringement of personal rights brought by PO senator Stanisław Gawkowski. You will find more interesting texts on the home page.

Welcome to Africa. Duklanowski went on a mission

The court hearing took place without Duklanowsky. As reported by the website, the former Radio Szczecin journalist simply disappeared from the country. Shortly after finishing his work, he went to Africa on a church mission. Gawkowski’s attorney, Rafał Wiechecki, confirmed these reports on the X platform (formerly Twitter), writing that “according to his lawyer, he moved to Africa. He is blazing a trail.” The portal’s editorial staff also tried to call him with numerous questions about the future, but Duklanowski’s phone was switched off.

He contributed to the tragedy. The first one revealed information about the PO MP’s son

Tomasz Duklanowski became particularly famous when, on December 29, 2022, on the online service of Radio Szczecin, and a moment later on TVP Info, he was the first to share information that allowed him to identify the son of PO MP Magdalena Filiks as the victim of a pedophile associated with this party, convicted and more than a year in prison. On March 3 this year, Filiks announced the suicide of a 15-year-old boy, and the topic was widely discussed by the most important media. The majority opinion agreed that Duklanowsky’s publication had a significant impact on this tragedy. The teenager’s funeral took place 4 days later.

At that time, the then editor of Radio Szczecin was on vacation, and after returning he decided to prove his innocence in an interview for “Gazeta Polska”. He argued that he did not disclose personal data allowing the identification of the pedophile’s victims, but obtained it from other, own sources.

Duklanowski was also known for his cooperation with the aforementioned “Gazeta Polska”, in which he wrote about Senator Gawkowski and the previous Marshal Tomasz Grodzki in the context of corruption charges brought against them. Tomasz Sakiewicz, the editor-in-chief of the magazine and website, does not rule out further cooperation. But will the person concerned come back at all?
