The Government plans to grant actress Concha Velasco (1939-2023) the Order of Isabella the Catholic posthumously, according to government sources informed Servimedia.

This distinction, whose approval must go through the Council of Ministers, aims to “reward those extraordinary behaviors of a civil nature, carried out by Spanish and foreign people, that benefit the Nation or that contribute, in a relevant way, to favoring the relations of friendship and cooperation of the Spanish Nation with the rest of the international community”.

Concha Velasco died on saturday at 84 years of age at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Majadahonda (Madrid).
