Netflix isn’t slowing down. “Forst” is another proposition for crime story lovers
Soon, another production will join the Netflix library, this time inspired by the work of Remigiusz Mróz. We are talking about the series “Forst”, which was based on the novels “Exposure” and “Przewieśnie”. The action of the crime story takes place in the Tatra Mountains, where a series of brutal murders take place. The titular detective Forst and the inquisitive journalist Olga Szrebskia get involved in the investigation. Together they discover a conspiracy from several decades ago.
“Forst”, directed by Daniel Jaroszek, winner of the Audience Award at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia, will be available on Netflix in the first half of 2024. The main roles will be played by Borys Szyc, Zuzanna Saporznikow, Artur Barciś, Andrzej Bienias, Tomasz Pogoń, Kamilla Baar, Maciej Pesta, Aleksandra Grabowska and Szymon Wróblewski. The creators of the series received financial support from the Polish Film Institute from the funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Filming for “Forst” was shot in three main locations: Zakopane, Nowy Targ and Warsaw. Agata Malesińska and Jacek Markiewicz are responsible for the script.
