Machirulo, big data, cookie, nonbinary homelessness are some of the new words that the Dictionary of the Spanish Language (DLE) since this Tuesday, according to the update presented by the director of the RAE, Santiago Muñoz Machado.
Chudachunda, oscarize are other words included in the electronic version 23.7 of the Dictionary of the Spanish Language (DLE) of the Royal Spanish Academywhich has incorporated synonyms and antonyms for the first time in history, since 42,882 articles in the dictionary contain them.
In total, the total innovations that this update incorporates, between new words, articles, variations or deletions, amount to 4,381 operations. The new terms included in the RAE dictionary have been incorporated into its dictionary come from fields as diverse as science, new technologies, gastronomy, sports or cinema. This is what some of them mean, according to the academy:

- Homelessness: defined as “circumstance of the person who lacks a home to live in and, generally, any way of life.”
- Video arbitration and its acronym VAR: “video system used to assist the referee, which allows re-watching a play that has just occurred.”
- Crack: the meaning of “person who stands out especially in something.”
Other words that stood out during the presentation were: alien, oscarize, either Super villainin addition to the inclusion of compound shapes as energy poverty. According to the technologywords like big data, cookie either banner.

It should be noted that the inclusion of the main synonyms and antonyms of the Spanish voices is one of the great novelties of the update, being the first time in the almost 300 years of history of the DLE that they are included.
