His music has won 6.8 million listeners on Spotify. The simple Brown eyes earned him the first Latin Grammy of his career when he triumphed in the ‘Pop/Rock Song of the Year’ category and his stage name is trending almost daily on X (Twitter).

Far from having any relationship with former Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso, by whom he has been tagged several times and received messages intended for the native of Guayaquil, Venezuelan singer Lasso is about to arrive in Ecuador as part of its concert tour with confirmed dates in Guayaquil (November 29, Convention Center) and Quito (November 30).

LASSO versus staying alone forever It is the tour that brings him closer again to his Ecuadorian audience, amidst the celebration of the first recognition he receives from the Latin Recording Academy, and to whom he will give the premiere of his single as a gift. Everything comes back, scheduled for 7pm on Thursday the 30th, before taking the stage at the Bolívar Theater in the capital.

Connected by Zoom, the interpreter of A million like you, until that day And Glad for you, song he presented a month ago, talks to this newspaper about his show tour and his next production.

Pablo Alborán in Ecuador: with presents and flowers, this is how his fans received the Spanish artist in Guayaquil

In Ecuador, several users mentioned it in messages addressed to the former Ecuadorian president. If you are the president of a country, what would be his first decrees?

The first thing I would do is surround myself with people who know what they are doing, that’s the first thing I would do, I would look for the best of everything, I would look for the best way to do things in the future. long term with prepared people.

Two concerts in Ecuador after being away from your national fans for a while, what have you prepared for them?

I am very happy with it, it is a very special concert because it is part of a so-called tour LASSO versus staying alone forever and what it consists of is giving people a slightly more special experience than just playing a few songs, and that’s it. There is a whole concept around the concert, it takes place in a museum where I explain to people that the memories of my exes are stored, I interview them one by one and ask them advice for my next relationship.

Pablo Alborán already arrives in Ecuador: the Spanish singer not only sings well, he also knows the other skills of the artist at home

The names of their songs are very direct, as one of them says Men are all the same, what can their followers do to meet an emotionally responsible person?

What that song says is about a very powerful phrase that’s been used for a long time and what I like about that is that the song has two points of view, the masculine and the feminine, and they’re both right in their own way and and they are trying to come to terms with the fact that men may or may not be all the same.

Brown eyes It’s your current musical success, from launch to winning the Grammy. How did you experience this whole process?

It has been something very special, especially because I was nominated together with my best friends. It’s always a pleasure to be surrounded by people you love, although normally this isn’t the case because you’re always working with people, but I’ve been working with them for a long time and it was a really nice thing to have them all there to be together.

-Lasso received the Grammy for Best Pop/Rock Song of the Year, along with the song’s co-writers, Luis Jiménez and Agustín Zubillaga-

If you are in Ecuador, your visit will coincide with the premiere of Everything comes back, What story are you telling in this production and who did you collaborate with?

everything comes back It’s a song I wrote last year and it’s one of the songs I’ve been looking at for my new album. It’s a very fast song, I usually do things a little slower and it’s very nostalgic, it’s about how you waited for someone to come back into your life, how you always counted on that because they tell you that everything comes back in the life and when they tell you that the sun returns every morning, winter returns and the first time: why don’t you come back?, the song goes from there. The producers are the same as Those are brown eyes Orlando Vitto and Renzo Bravo.

everything comes back There will also be a music video. When is the release planned?

In fact, it’s one of my favorite videos of my entire career. It’s a video that we made in Colorado, in Denver, with a story that I had written many years ago that we couldn’t do because of time and budget issues and we found some space this year to do it and I I’m super excited to see what people think

Part of the tour is called Stay alone forever, What would you take with you if this situation arose?

My phone, without a doubt, because the phone has everything you need, you’re not bored and you can contact everyone, that’s what I would take.

He presented a month ago Glad for you, simple in which it tells the story of a relationship that ends, but one of the people involved still feels love for his ex. How is it possible to overcome that term and not “die” in the attempt?

That is the ultimate improvement, the fact that you put the love you have for someone above your ego and your pain. Saying, if she’s okay, I’m okay, is the hardest thing you can do in any relationship of any kind, even if it ends badly. I think it’s a humbling feeling.

End the year with a Latin Grammy, premiere and concert tour, what will Lasso bring us in 2024?

I have a new album coming and I think 2024 is going to be the year I release the most music. I’m not going to play, that is, I’m not going to tour, but for now I’m just going to release music, I’m going to build. Above all, the fact that I will be collaborating and that there will be other people’s songs that invite me to collaborate.

During these visits or during this period, did any Ecuadorian artist contact you to collaborate? Do you know the proposal of any of them?

So far I haven’t had any proposals. He has known Mirella (Cesa) for a long time, from awards. But it’s strange because I’ve worked with people from all over Latin America, but not yet from Ecuador. But there are always opportunities.
