Win:Win is a joint initiative of the artist Michał Torzecki and the technology company Daftcode. This time, the vernissage will take place on November 30 in a beautiful space at 63 Nowy Świat Street. Michał and his guests paint portraits of the dogs under the care of the Viva Shelter in Korabiewice, which Warsaw residents then have the opportunity to admire during a unique vernissage.
A unique opening of dog portraits
Event guests can not only purchase paintings, but also meet the dogs in person and even start the adoption process. What’s more, each adopter receives a portrait of their new pet as a gift. Hence the name Win:Win – dogs from Korabiewice win financial aid and new homes, and supporters become four-legged friends for life. Additionally, thanks to the involvement of partners, at the opening you will be able to buy gadgets with dog images or take part in a lottery. All collected funds go to the shelter, for which financial support is very much needed, especially in winter. Over the course of 6 editions, we have already collected over PLN 220,000 in total! This year, paintings will be available for purchase at regular prices until 20:00 and then the auction will start!
We see how the opening has a huge impact on the promotion of dog adoption. Additionally, dogs for the event are selected so that they actually feel good with people and have appropriate volunteers who take care of their comfort and safety, which are the most important to us. We give these dogs a chance that they would not have without such events. Thanks to this action, many dogs found a safe home – says Irena Kowalczyk-Ornowska from the shelter in Korabiewice.
The event is held under the Honorary Patronage of the President of the capital city of Warsaw. Warsaw.
