On November 10, 2023, a new Polish romantic comedy “All That Sex” directed by Tomasz Mandes debuted on Amazon Prime. The plot tells the story of six ordinary couples who have to face different challenges at different stages of their relationship. Some are just starting an intimate journey, others are trying to fight the monotony by realizing their unfulfilled fantasies. One of them are Alicja and Robert (played by Piotr Witkowski), who dream of enlarging their family, but all attempts so far have ended in failure. They soon discover that the cause is frustration and decide to remedy it.
Due to the subject of the plot, the character played by Witkowski almost never gets out of bed. In an interview with the actor, he admitted that although he already had a lot of experience in shooting this type of scenes, this time he had to face an additional challenge because Lamparska, who played his film partner, was pregnant at the time. – Madzia was pregnant at the time, so we had to be careful. Together with the extremely sensitive producers, Ewa and Tomek, we took great care of Magda’s comfort. Our producers themselves have children who are the most important to them, so no one even thought that any boundaries could be crossed towards Magda during filming – he talked about the backstage in an interview with the portal.
At the same time, he admitted that she impressed him with her composure and he could count on her full professionalism at every stage of shooting. – I tried to take care of my friend. But I could also count on Magda’s great professionalism and calmness. But it must be admitted that it was also very funny, because we didn’t know how many ways we could shoot a passionate sex scene – said Witkowski. Finally, he stated that this type of productions are needed to break taboos and familiarize society with topics that should not be embarrassing for anyone, because they are “as important as sleeping and eating.”
