According to a lawsuit filed in the New York Supreme Court, Axl Rose committed sexual violence against the model over 30 years ago. The attack allegedly occurred in 1989, when the model was 26 years old. According to Kennedy, the musician invited her to his hotel room after the concert.
Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses accused of brutal rape
Sheila Kennedy claims Rose “brutally” attacked her after they met at a club in New York. The model is suing the singer for battery, assault, sexual assault and intentional infliction of extreme emotional pain.
The lawsuit cited by CNN states that the incident occurred when the musician “was at the peak of his commercial success.” Kennedy maintains that the artist “used fame, status and power to manipulate, gain control over and brutally assault her.” The now 61-year-old woman recalls how Rose “knocked her to the floor,” pulled her hair, tied her hands and “went into a sexual frenzy.”
The lawsuit clearly emphasizes that “Kennedy did not consent to such behavior and felt overpowered” by the famous musician. The former model allegedly decided that “the safest thing to do was lie down and wait until Rose finished attacking her.” As a result of that incident, the then 26-year-old model suffered “serious emotional, physical and mental suffering” as a result of brutal rape.
The Guns N’ Roses singer denies this. He claims that the meeting with the model never took place
Alan S. Gutman, Axl Rose’s lawyer, told CNN that his client pleaded not guilty and that the situation described by Kennedy “never occurred.” Moreover, Rose maintains that he does not recall ever meeting or talking to the former model.
Sheila Kennedy is an actress and model who appeared, among others, on the cover of the adult magazine “Penthouse”. In 1983, she was awarded the title of “Pet of the Year” by the same magazine. The model published her autobiography in 2016, in which she presented the allegations against Axl Rose for the first time.
