“Millionaires”. He counted for a long time, but without success. The question about candy in a jar turned out to be too difficult

“Millionaires” consistently attracts a large audience. On Tuesday evening we could watch Mr. Szymon’s struggles with mathematics at the primary school level. The complicated question defeated him.

Four times a week, viewers sit in front of their TV sets in the evenings and turn on TVN. “y” enjoy unflagging popularity. And although we don’t have many “millionaires” after the program, with each subsequent episode new players get a new chance.

On Tuesday evening, an episode featuring Mr. Szymon was broadcast. He didn’t have time to reach particularly high. The PLN 2,000 question turned out to be too complicated.

“Millionaires”. How many candies are in the jar?

Mr. Szymon started the game without any major problems. The first question was trivial and he already had PLN 500 in his account. The question for 1000 was about history (Who was the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU during martial law?) and caused a bit more problems, but after a short analysis of the given names, I managed to select the correct answer (Leonid Brezhnev). The guaranteed PLN 1,000 was already booked for Mr. Szymon.

Unfortunately, after the good streak came the bad one. The PLN 2,000 question turned out to be the last one the player heard during his approach. What did it sound like?

There are twice as many candies in one jar than in the other. If we transferred 10 from the first to the second, both would have the same amount, i.e.:

  • A. 20
  • B. 30
  • C. 40
  • D. 50

After intensive on-air calculations, Mr. Szymon finally confidently selected option C. Unfortunately, a moment later the studio lit up red, which meant that this answer was wrong. Hubert UrbaƱski sadly informed the player that the correct answer was option B – 30. Mr. Szymon, confused, quickly counted again in his head and… agreed that the presenter was right. “I understood the question,” he said regretfully.
