Daily Mail: Court again sides with Cristiano Ronaldo in rape case

A US appeals court has once again sided with Portuguese Al-Nasr striker Cristiano Ronaldo in a sexual assault case. The Daily Mail reports this.

Lawyers for American Katherine Mayorga asked the court to reinstate the lawsuit, which was first filed in 2018. They were denied this. Judge Jonny Rawlinson said the dismissal of the case was justified.

In 2022, the lawsuit against Ronaldo was dismissed due to the victim’s lawyer, Leslie Mark Stovall, using stolen confidential documents.

In September 2018, an American woman accused the Portuguese striker of rape. According to her, the incident occurred in 2009 in Las Vegas. Mayorga claimed that the football player paid her $375 thousand for silence. Ronaldo denied the accusations.
