He had a chance to win the jackpot, but he was in too much of a hurry. This is a quick summary of the game of Piotr Szafrański, who sat opposite him again in Tuesday’s episode. The participant continued to play for the title million, but was eliminated when the PLN 10,000 question asked about the Bombay bag.
“Millionaires”. He made a terrible mistake and was eliminated in the 10,000 question
“A bomb is a type of missile, and a bombaja is…?” – was the question worth PLN 10,000. Hubert Urbański presented the participant with four possible answers: A. a poisonous mushroom, B. sailors’ tales, C. a surprising event or D. a resident of a city in India. Interestingly, Piotr Szafrański excluded the last answer at the very beginning, stating that the names of city inhabitants are written with capital letters. This is, of course, not true, because according to the rules of spelling, the names of city inhabitants in Polish should be written in lower case.
The participant had trouble choosing the correct answer. So he asked his father for help, who suggested that he select the second option, i.e. “sailors’ tales”. Despite this, Piotr Szafrański still hesitated. Finally, he asked for another lifeline, i.e. “half and half”. There are only two answers left in the game: C. a surprising event and D. a resident of a city in India. Since he excluded the resident of Mumbai from the very beginning, the participant decided to select option C: a surprising event. This decision cost Mr. Piotr a lot, because not only did he lose the opportunity to continue playing in “Millionaires”, but he also left the studio with the first guaranteed sum of one thousand zlotys.
