He took part in the “Learning to drive” program. What was it like behind the scenes? “You have to show something cool”

The first edition of “Driving Lessons” was broadcast in 2001 on TVN and was very popular. Currently, from 2022 we can watch the third edition of the program. Recently, one of the participants revealed the behind-the-scenes of the production. How do they look?

What does the casting for “Driving Lessons” look like? It consists of several stages

The participant who described his experience with the program on the “” website traveled in Warsaw. He decided to participate mainly out of curiosity, and an additional advantage was the fact that the production paid for the entire course and the exam. After applying for the casting, he received his first task, which was to record a short film about himself. After two weeks, the second stage took place, in which he talked online with a person from the production, and after another month he received confirmation that he had been accepted into the program.

Is everything directed? “You have to show something cool on TV”

When everything was approved and the official matters were taken care of, the ride began and the former participant went well. – This was confirmed by the fact that the director himself asked me to drive a little worse, because ‘we need to show something cool on TV’ – admitted the man. He also noted that despite this, few situations were staged, although he also had to deal with one when a van started to reverse straight at him. She ended up hitting the bumper of the car despite honking. – I immediately knew what was going on and that it was a setup – he admitted.

During the recording, there were many funny requests and situations, but he did not agree to everything. He showed, among others: how to walk on the catwalk, whether he sang songs, including the song . – However, the director asked me to cross myself at the end and raise my hands up and say ‘this is for you, Mr. Krzysztof’ – he revealed, noting, however, that both the director and the entire crew were very nice and there were no problems .

Did he pass his driving test? “It was an adventure”

The man noted that the producers bought a separate course for them, during which they learned how to really drive. He had to pass both theory and practice where he was instructed. Although he passed the first exam the first time, stress caused him to fail in practice and he passed it later, away from the cameras. – The program brought me a lot of joy and I am glad I could be a part of it. It was an adventure that I will remember for the rest of my life, he concluded.
