Borzewski from “The Voice of Poland” referred to Baron’s sarcastic words. “A blow below the belt”

For Daniel Borzewski, participation in “The Voice of Poland” was a very great distinction, but it was not his first experience with cameras. In 2019, he won the title of Mister Poland and since then he has been diligently building his image online.

In the TVP musical talent show, he joined the Lanberry team, which initially stood behind its student. This was criticized by the program’s viewers because, in their opinion, there were participants with much better vocal predispositions in the program.

Borzewski’s adventure in “The Voice of Poland” was not easy, because already at the quarter-final stage the jurors were talking openly about the mistakes he was making, but thanks to the viewers’ votes he managed to reach the semi-finals. Then he performed his own piece on stage, which was met with an unfavorable comment from Baron:

– I respect you, man, for your courage. You are a character who will definitely be remembered in this edition, but I wonder if that’s what you mean by being remembered, because on the one hand, the amount of support you receive from voting means that you have a huge group of enthusiasts behind you, he said.

– On the other hand, it turns out that you are polarizing and splitting our audience into two camps, because what is happening on the Internet shows a completely different perspective, a different attitude regarding your place here. I wonder if this is how you want to be remembered and, above all, how you feel about it, because you sing all the time and I would like you to say something, he added.

Mister Polski did not remain indebted to him and decided to honestly respond to the juror’s words. – I’m not here to make enemies and divide people. I’m here for myself. It’s my first time on stage as a vocalist, so it’s also a surprise for me. I’m super grateful because I wasn’t aware that I had such support among the viewers. I test myself as a vocalist, because as a dancer I have already been on more than one stage. That’s how it occurred to me, maybe other singers have other opportunities to be on smaller stages, it happened to me that I have this experience to gain here and I just do it – explained Borzewski

The participant commented on the jury’s decision. He didn’t hide what hurt him the most

When the emotions after the program had subsided, the editorial team decided to contact the former participant of the 14th edition of “The Voice of Poland” and ask him for a comment. He confessed that he did not feel treated fairly and was sorry that no one commented on his song.

I was in shock. Moved, as I was finishing my single “W Nasze dom” on stage, I heard criticism from Baron, which had nothing to do with my performance at all. None of the coaches referenced my song either, which I think is good. I am also aware that my semi-final performances were the best in terms of adventure in this program. Unfortunately, the coaches did not comment on it, but the viewers and Internet users did, so in my opinion it is valuable.

– This is a TV program, the coaches are the heads of this program, so I think that before you say something, it should be well thought out. What Baron said towards me was weak… In my opinion, he joined the group of haters who became active during the “TVoP” program. I don’t know if he was aware that if he met a mentally weak person, he could hurt her terribly. I can process everything in my head, but such words from the coach’s mouth should not be said publicly on stage – he added.

At the very end of his statement, he also referred to the sarcastic words of Baron, who paraphrased the lyrics of the song “Niepokonani” by Perfect. – And the topic of leaving the stage… this is a blow below the belt, but Baron, I just entered this stage, so I intend not to leave it for a long time. – Boszewski summed up.
