Sharing multiplies good
The uniqueness of the magic of Christmas allows us to stop and look around. Not everyone can afford a tasty meal or give gifts to their loved ones. According to the latest report of the Central Statistical Office “The extent of economic poverty in Poland in 2022”, the average financial situation of households has actually worsened, including: due to high inflation. 1.7 million citizens live in extreme poverty in Poland. So let’s change the Christmas rush to a time of kindness. Let us remember that Santa Claus lives in each of us, every day.
The Polish Red Cross recognizes the problem of extreme poverty and social exclusion. We do not agree to anyone staying hungry in Poland, especially during the holidays. We want everyone to have dignified, warm and joyful Christmas gatherings. Therefore, in this year’s campaign organized with our trusted partner, Coca-Cola, we want to help everyone who needs it.
– says Micha³ Miko³ajczyk, Member of the Main Board of the Polish Red Cross.
The Coca-Cola System has been actively involved in aid activities for the International Red Cross Movement for many years. In 2022, Coca-Cola, together with its partner Coca-Cola HBC, supported the organization in Ukraine and neighboring countries – globally with the amount of EUR 1 million and local branches with the amount of EUR 570,000. euro. Moreover, the company donated over 250,000 liters of drinks to the organization, and in Poland, thanks to the funds transferred, four reception points for refugees were created at the border.

The world needs more Santa Clauses
In the Christmas campaign, Coca-Cola once again encourages people to notice the needs of others and to share the good together and pay attention to the other person.
For Coca-Cola, the holidays have always been about celebrating the true magic of human connections. In this year’s campaign, we encourage you to give others the most beautiful gift – our kindness. We are once again joining forces with the Polish Red Cross, with which we cooperated, among other things, in organizing aid for refugees from Ukraine and supporting those who need it most. Through this Christmas campaign, we also invite consumers and co-workers to take action, because the world needs more Santa Clauses
– comments Paulina Trzaskowska, Communications Manager Coca-Cola.
Let’s do something good together
To take part in the Coca-Cola and Polish Red Cross campaign, you must complete a food package consisting of specific products (pasta, rice, oil, groats, tea, canned fish, canned meat, cocoa) and then hand it over to the local Polish Red Cross branch. The list of points is available in the Coca-Cola application. Important! Be sure to keep your receipt.
When the parcel reaches the Polish Red Cross employees, you will receive confirmation of the transfer of the products in the form of a certificate from Santa Claus. The certificate contains a QR code that must be scanned. Once you’ve been transferred to the Coca-Cola website or app, you can take part in the competition. All you need to do is answer the question: what is the magic of Christmas for you? The prize is a trip to Santa’s Village in Rovaniemi. The campaign starts on November 13 and will last until December 21.

What will happen to the collected parcels? They will be given to lonely, disabled and poor people, as well as seniors and large families. In 2022 alone, the Polish Red Cross distributed 85,000 parcels with a total value of over PLN 13.5 million to those in need.
The holidays are in full swing
We can also provide “virtual” help with one click after completing a quiz determining the type of “inner Santa Claus” inside us. We will be redirected to the quiz after scanning the QR code from the limited beverage packages. Our answers will determine what kind of Santa we are. There are several options – “Empathetic Santa”, “Caring Santa”, “Generous Santa” and “Joyful Santa”. Of course, our result can then be shared on social media.
And, like every year, let’s look forward to the Christmas truck. We will be able to see her live in as many as five cities! On December 2, Mikołaj will be in Słupsk, on December 9 he will visit Gniezno, on December 16 in Lublin, and on December 22 in Warsaw. It will arrive in the fifth city on December 20. Where will he go? It will turn out! The place will be chosen by the consumers themselves, by voting. In the cities where the trucks will arrive, Polish-Ukrainian Christmas meetings will also be organized in cooperation with local Polish Red Cross branches and the partner Coca-Cola HBC.
