From Guayaquil to the vibrant heart of Buenos Aires, the anticipation for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was palpable every step of our journey. Accompanied by my friend Camila Paz, we embarked on a 19-hour odyssey, making several stops until we reached the Argentine capital, where Taylor promised to brighten the weekend with three concerts.
The travel odyssey
Although we share the region, the trip from Ecuador to Argentina felt like a journey across worlds. We spent months organizing every detail, balancing the excitement of the concert with work responsibilities. Our choice: a quick trip from Thursday to Monday so as not to stray too far from our workplace. We heard about the low prices in Argentina, so we all traveled on a low budget, which in the end even remained.
@unpococamii I’m not good at recording videos during concerts, just wait. 🤧💖💫 #night2erastour #buenosaires

Fever at the airport
Upon landing at Ezeiza International Airport, we were immediately immersed in a sea of fast-paced enthusiasm.
It was four in the morning and the place was already buzzing with the energy of Taylor Swift fans of different nationalities. The surprise of finding college classmates queuing for taxis was just the beginning. The airport, a gathering of fans in Taylor sweatshirts, seemed like a prelude to a late-night convention.
Exploring Buenos Aires
With the concert still two days away, we took the opportunity to explore the streets of Palermo, Recoleta, the iconic Plaza de Mayo, the Obelisco, Caminito, the Japanese Garden and beyond. We met more friends from Guayaquil, some expected, others a pleasant surprise. Not everyone was present at the concert on Saturday, November 11, as we were; others had tickets for Friday or Thursday itself. It was clear that many had made the trip to see the ‘blonde’.

Taylor Can’t Control the Weather Yet (But He Will)
When he arrived in Buenos Aires on Friday, November 10, he woke up in tears. The sky was “falling” and a thunderstorm was clearly visible. I felt sorry for the Swifties who had to wait in line that day. As Camila and I chatted in a cafe, sheltered from the rain, we heard the last-minute announcement: Taylor was postponing that second night of the concert to Sunday. Surprised, as Taylor loves a show in the rain, we understood this was best for those in attendance as the lightning and thunder became more and more constant.
We were able to talk to our friend Nathaly Durán, who traveled from Guayaquil to the event with her sister and a group of friends. She told us that it was difficult for her to attend on Sunday because she had plane tickets to return to Ecuador on Saturday and that she had traveled to Argentina only for the concert. As the hours passed, Nathaly decided to remain a loyal Swiftie and changed her flight, an extra expense she is grateful for.
I love a rain show, but I will never endanger my fans or my fellow artists and crew. We have moved tonight’s show in Buenos Aires to Sunday because the weather is so chaotic that it would be unsafe to organize this concert. Good news is that I can stay in… https://t.co/kibxWUwIiw

Preparations for the long-awaited concert
Finally the day of the concert arrived. Preparation started at noon; Camila opted for a sequin dress inspired by the Folklore era, while I opted for a fluffy purple shade, reminiscent of the Speak Now era. Worries about long-lasting makeup disappeared when we achieved the perfect look.
Long line under the sun
Something that caught my attention is that although the sun was very intense and the feelings of fatigue were palpable in the immense queue to enter the River Plate stadium, the Swifties did not stop singing en masse and exchanging friendship bracelets as the queue progressed came. .
The complaints about the sun and sweat couldn’t compare to the excitement of seeing her. Girls, teenagers, women and men attended the musical event in groups, although it was not unusual to see lonely souls determined to enjoy the show.
An unforgettable night
The Mâs Monumental stadium was transformed into a spectacle of light and sound. With a 100-metre stage, an impressive catwalk and LED screens capturing every move, the concert was an explosion of music and colour. Previous performances by Sabrina Carpenter and Louta provided a warm-up before Taylor made her entrance.
The concert was a journey through the eras of the artist. From Fearless to Midnight Rain, every song was a chorus shared by 68,000 voices. The presence of her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, added an exclusive touch to the evening.

For three hours we experienced an unforgettable musical journey, ending with a long line to buy souvenirs that will immortalize the magic of that evening.
When I returned home with a hoarse voice but a full heart, it became clear to me that this trip was much more than just music. It was a meeting of passions, a celebration of music and friendship; and a memory that, like Taylor’s songs, will stay with us forever.
