Maciej Damięcki was born on January 11, 1944 in Podszkodzie. He is the son of actors Irena Górska-Damięcka and Dobiesław Damięcki and the younger brother of actor Damian Damięcki (they were often considered twins) and the uncle of Grzegorz Damięcki. His children were also involved in acting: we know Mateusz Damięcki, among others. from the films “Przedwiośnie” and “Furioza”, and Matylda Damięcka from “Na Wspólnej”.
