Ten years after the odyssey that united a stray dog ​​with a Swedish athlete, who took him home to his family, it will be released in theaters starring actor Mark Wahlberg. Arthur the King, (Arthur, the King) is produced by Paramount.

The film that will immortalize Arthur, a dog who joined a team of extreme athletes during the period Huairasinchi competition in Ecuadorian countries in 2014won the heart of Mikael Lindnord, the team leader, who took him to Sweden.

The special thing about the film, based on real events, is that it is set in the Dominican Republic.

The stray dog ​​accompanied the European Peak Performance team in the final two stages of the World Adventure Championship that culminated in Mompiche. The test traveled 700 kilometers from Quito.

The adventure that brought Mikael and Arthur together became known worldwide and became a book: ‘Arthur – The dog who crossed the jungle to find a home’. Later, the project interested actor Mark Wahlberg, who will play the role of Lindnord.

When he presented the book in 2019, Mikael said that in 2014 “I had no idea that traveling to Ecuador, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, would change my life. Even today I talk about Arthur and Ecuador every day and I feel blessed to have been so lucky.
