A 27-year-old firefighter-diver died on November 1 this year. During the search for the wanted Grzegorz Borys, the man lost consciousness while diving in the reservoir at ul. Lipowa and ul. Mary’s Source in Gdynia in Gdynia. The unconscious diver was pulled out of the tank and taken to hospital. Unfortunately, the man’s life could not be saved.
It is with great sadness that we inform you about the death of a firefighter from the State Fire Service. Bartosz Błyskal, a diver from the Specialized Water and Diving Group of the State Fire Service in Gdańsk. On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, section Błyskal Bartosz suffered a diving accident during operations in the water reservoir in Gdynia. He was taken to hospital, but his life could not be saved. The firefighters and their families were provided with the care of a PSP psychologist

The funeral of the 27-year-old took place on Wednesday. Not only his closest family and friends said goodbye to him. The ceremony was a state celebration in which the State Fire Service assisted.

The 27-year-old firefighter was buried at the cemetery in Lublewo Gdański. The coffin with his body was transported in a fire truck. When she was being placed in the grave, sirens were heard everywhere – to symbolically say goodbye to the young officer.
As Fakt.pl writes, the deceased 27-year-old was born into a firefighter family with traditions. At first, he worked at the Volunteer Fire Department in Pręgowo. He recently obtained an engineering degree and studied logistics. He was also an honorary blood donor. The man had many passions, including: sailing, mountain climbing, skiing.
Let us remind you that the search for Grzegorz Borys has been carried out since October 20. A man suspected of murdering his 6-year-old son, Aleksander, was found dead. The soldier’s body was found on Monday, November 7, in a water reservoir in the Tricity Landscape Park in Gdynia.
