On the night of October 28-29, Polish time, the world was informed about the sudden death of Matthew Perry. The broadcaster of the Comedy Central television channel decided to honor in a special way the memory of the actor who plays one of the main roles in the cult sitcom “Friends”. The series is one of the flagship items shown by the station.

The 54-year-old actor was found in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, October 28. Perry gained greatest popularity thanks to his role as Chandler in the sitcom “Friends”, which was produced from 1994 to 2004. His character is considered one of the most characteristic in the series.

Comedy Central pays tribute to Matthew Perry

The Comedy Central Polska television station decided to posthumously commemorate Perry. During each airing of the series “Friends”, an inscription is displayed in the upper right corner: “In Memory of Matthew Perry. Best of Chandler”.

This is due to the broadcast of only episodes selected by the station’s editorial staff, which show various of the best moments in Chandler’s life – from his comic mishaps to touching moments with his friends.

This character, performed by Matthew Perry, is for many people one of the most characteristic characters in “Friends”. All thanks to Chandler’s sharp retorts and his famous expression “Could I be any more…?” and an incredible ability to make life difficult in the simplest moments.

Matthew Perry is dead

The famous actor died on October 28. He was found unconscious in the jacuzzi by an assistant who called for help. No official cause of death was given – the coroner ruled that further tests were needed, mainly toxicological ones, to help determine with certainty what happened on Saturday afternoon at the actor’s home in Los Angeles.

Matthew Perry has struggled with depression for years. He was also addicted to painkillers. He included details about the fight against both demons in his autobiographical book entitled “Friends, Lovers and That Big Scary Thing.
