It was a hair hit in the 1970s. This homemade mask was devilishly effective and dirt cheap

Prepare a feast for your hair that will improve its structure, shine and accelerate its growth. A home hair mask works just like a professional treatment, but it costs pennies. Our mothers and grandmothers were particularly popular.

Beer, the third most consumed drink in the world, is also good for hair. Rich in silica, phosphorus, copper, magnesium, iron and B vitamins, it can nourish hair, giving it extra volume and shine. Next time you have some of this drink left, instead of throwing it away, try a homemade mask based on it.

A hit of the Polish People’s Republic, i.e. a beer hair mask. Helps stimulate growth and repair damaged strands

In ancient times, it was said that beer helps the hair, increases thickness and shine, and makes the strands smooth and soft. The protein present in the hit mask from the Polish People’s Republic certainly helps strengthen hair cuticles and accelerate hair growth. It is therefore ideal for people with thin, weak and damaged strands. To prepare the mask you need: 1 egg white, 1 yolk, half a glass of beer and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.

  1. Take a bowl, beat one egg white until stiff and set aside.
  2. Take a food processor or blender and add the egg yolk, apple cider vinegar and honey. Mix for 10 to 20 seconds.
  3. Now add this mixture to the egg white you prepared earlier.
  4. Apply a hair mask, preferably before a shower, and cover the strands with a shower cap or plastic bag.
  5. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes.
  6. Then rinse and wash your hair with shampoo.

How to use beer on hair? Prepare the rinse yourself at home

In recent years, many shampoos and conditioners with beer as one of the ingredients have appeared on the market. It is believed that two proteins found in beer – malt and hops – can help nourish and strengthen hair follicles. To achieve healthy curls, you can use a simple beer rinse once a week. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Pour the beer into an uncovered mug and then wait for the foam to subside.
  2. Mix beer and water in a 1:2 ratio (e.g. 500 ml of beer and 250 ml of water).
  3. Wash and condition your hair as usual.
  4. Gently massage the beer into your hair and scalp.
  5. Leave the beer on your hair for about 15 minutes.
  6. Rinse the strands with cool water.
