The day before his death, Matthew Perry seemed to have enjoyed a quiet weekend and showed signs of good spirits, as seen in one of the last photos of the actor in public.

A colleague from a well-known comedy series Friends was seen sharing lunch at the hotel’s Bel-Air restaurant last Friday with a mysterious young woman, the Grosby Group said in an official statement.

The pictures show Perry in a black T-shirt, sitting at a round table and enjoying a conversation with his companion. Witnesses at the restaurant said the two had been at the table for more than an hour before they left together. According to New York Postthe photos were taken around 14:30 (local time), just over 24 hours before his unexpected departure.

Hours after photos of the lunch were released, model and entertainment journalist Athena Crosby identified herself on social media as the mysterious young woman who shared the meal with Perry.

At first, the 34-year-old was not going to reveal the meeting, but when the pictures got to the public, she decided to share that the actor is “in good spirits” and excited about the “opportunities that await him in life”. In statements to TMJhe clarified that he is not in a romantic relationship with Perry.

On Saturday, hours before his tragic death at his home in Pacific Palisades, the 54-year-old actor was playing pickleas reported by the Los Angeles Times.
