Before Piotr Andrzejewski debuted as an actor, he found fulfillment in music. He was educated at the Professional Singing School and sang in the choir during concerts. However, he abandoned his passion in order to obtain a solid education. He graduated from the Poznań University of Technology, becoming a Master of Science in agricultural engineering.

However, his passion for artistic directions did not wane, so he decided to try his hand at acting. He made his debut in 1984 in the play “The Blind”, staged at the Grand Theater in Poznań. After three years of acting, he decided to go to England to take part in a casting for a commercial. He appeared in a series of commercials until he finally heard that he had a chance to make it in Hollywood. Even though he didn’t know the language very well, he bet everything on one card. – You land in the United States and no one is waiting for you there. I knew little English, I had no acting training – in “Gala”, adding that “the beginnings were difficult”. For this reason, he took up various activities, including: a postman, a limousine driver, an understudy and an extra. – Nobody despises this kind of work there. What I love about the United States is that today’s extra can be a star tomorrow – he said in “Rzeczpospolita”.
At first he played mainly episodes, but over time his popularity began to increase. Then, at the agent’s suggestion, he adopted the pseudonym Peter J. Lucas. Currently, he has produced many American films and series, including: , “Baywatch”, “ER”, “Dangerous Burden” and “Inland Empire”. In the meantime, he also tried to make a name for himself in the domestic industry. After a few episodes, Juliusz Machulski cast him as a paid killer in the comedy “Single 2”, and his career quickly gained momentum.
The popular program changed his life. He left Hollywood for his wife and children
A turning point in his life, both professional and private, was 2006. It was then that he took part in the program, where he took 2nd place in the final. This was the beginning of real changes in his life. While producing the episodes, he met Agnieszka Koniecka, the then producer. Sympathy quickly turned into love and it was for her that he abandoned the USA. – After 20 years, I left Hollywood and started a new life in Poland – he said. The couple even had two children, born in 2007 and 2012. Although Lucas was doing well privately, he was struggling professionally. Eventually, he withdrew from show business for some time.
On June 2, 2023, Peter J. Lucas celebrated his 61st birthday. Acting is still his great passion and he willingly takes on new roles. In recent years, he has appeared in many popular television productions, including: in “Hotel 52” or “Commissioner Alex”. The last time viewers could see him on the big screen was in 2021 in the film “Wieleżyński. The Alchemist from Lviv” by Mariusz Bonaszewski. Although his popularity does not wane, he tries to protect his privacy and avoids the spotlight.
