Embittered Steczkowska in “The Voice of Poland”. “Well, I’m not proud of you.”

Justyna Steczkowska is one of the most talented vocalists in Poland. She is also a trainer in the program “The Voice of Poland”, which turned out to be very strict in the last episode. Steczkowska disliked one of the performances of the trio, which sang a hit by Ewa Bem, so much that after the performance she issued a sharp reprimand.

During the battles in her team, three of the singer’s charges had to face the song “Moje Serć To jest Muzy” by Ewa Bem. Maja Walentynowicz, Kamila Jakubenaite and Julia Fijałkowska sang in a trio, which turned out to be quite a challenge for them.

“It’s always more difficult in a trio – it’s harder to play, harder to sing. But maybe that’s the whole point of the fun, to show all your capabilities in such a short time,” Steczkowska said before the performance.

The talent show participants did not make Steczkowska happy during rehearsals. The coach then gave them valuable advice that would make their live performance much better. “You have to listen to the harmony (…). This is a jazz song and you have a lot of freedom here. Any decorations and how to decorate the sounds are recommended. Let’s add some creativity to it,” commented the trainer.

However, they failed to make much progress. Or at least that’s what Justyna Steczkowska thinks, after the performance she was very disappointed with their performance of Ewa Bem’s hit. She did not spare harsh words in her assessment.

Well, I’m not proud of you. Your singing level varies. Your performance of Maju was so gripping. It wasn’t perfect, but somehow it held together. At the end you had room for improvisation, I thought to myself, my girls will pull it off, but there’s nothing, no creativity, poor performance. If you don’t really get down to work, I don’t know, you’ll be a disgrace to yourself and me. (…) I can only judge what I hear at this moment. There were so many mistakes that it was sad to look at. I don’t know why, I don’t know what distracted you. I thought I would be able to cope with the first mistake, but the second one… nope. The audience also sees and hears it – with these words Steczkowska summed up the trio’s performance.

With “The Voice of Poland” after the battles at the University of Music. Kamila Jakubenaite had to say goodbye to Fryderyk Chopin. In the next battle, the winner was Maja Walentynowicz, who finally got into the live episodes.
