The new adaptation won the hearts of viewers, just like the movie did in the past. Although it was not the first adaptation of the cult novel by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz, the 1981 version was hailed as one of the most important productions of the 1980s. The film created a sensation in Polish cinemas and is still very popular.
When and where to watch “Quack” on TV?
This will be good news for fans of “Quack”. Jerzy Hoffman’s adaptation will be available to watch as many as 10 times at the turn of October and November. The film will be broadcast on the Kino Polska channel on October 28 at 3 p.m. Just a day later, on October 29, at 8 p.m., it will be broadcast by WP. In October, we will also watch “Quack” on Tuesday, October 31, on TVP Seriale (the broadcast is scheduled for 25 minutes after midnight).
On November 1, “Quack” will be available on several channels. First, the film will be broadcast by Stopklatka (at 12:45), then Kino Polska (12:55 and 17:25), then (14:35) and finally WP (18:00) and TVP Seriale (18:10). Stopklatka will once again show “Quack” on November 4 at 3:30 p.m.
“The Quack” was first filmed in 1937, when Michał Waszyński took over the production. The second version was shot by Jerzy Hoffman in 1981. The main roles were played by Anna Dymna and Tomasz Stockinger. “Quack” tells the story of Professor Wilczur, a renowned surgeon, who one day is attacked and as a result of this event he loses his memory.
