Sister Lucia was one of the most famous Catholic mystics. As a 10-year-old, she experienced events considered to be Marian apparitions. They took place from May to October 1917. Łucja was the oldest of three children who witnessed these apparitions.
Sister Lucy began to experience visions
A few years after these experiences, she joined the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Dorota in Vilar. However, in 1948, with the special permission of the Pope, she left and joined the convent of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel in Coimbra. There she took the name of Maria Lucia of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Sister Lucia has experienced various visions about the future over the years. Her character aroused great interest. The Portuguese nun also enjoyed great respect in the Catholic Church. Has Sister Lucy been replaced?
Officially, Łucja died in 2005 at the age of 98. However, not everyone believes in this version. We may encounter, among other things, the theory that the famous nun was replaced at some point. Supporters of this version (including Catholic publicist Dr. Marian Therese Horvat) argue that Lucia actually left in 1949.
According to the mentioned publicist, her sister’s face has changed significantly. She presented her thoughts in the article “Two Sister Lucys of Fatima?”. – We can see that Łucja in the earlier photo has an oval face, high cheekbones and a concave chin. However, in the next one he has a square face and jaw, she said.
Moreover, we can hear the opinion that the sister has radically changed her views. Initially, she was very conservative, dogmatic and unyielding. She opposed any changes in the Church. She also criticized clergy with liberal views. Moreover, she emphasized for a long time that Mary’s expectations, which were conveyed during the apparitions at Fatima, were not met. However, after the alleged “change” she became much more liberal and less critical. This matter still raises considerable doubts to this day.
