The film premiered in May 2020 on Polish Television. The documentary was devoted to the actions of Krystian W., whom the director accused of establishing relationships with underage girls. The starting point in the case was supposed to be premises located in the Tri-City, including Sopot’s “Zatoka Sztuki”. According to Latkowski, some Polish celebrities, such as Grażyna Wolszczak and Kuba Wojewódzki, also knew about the whole procedure.
Sylwester Latkowski appeared in court
After the film’s premiere, it organized a debate during which the hosts discussed the material he had collected with Sylwester Latkowski. The director mentioned, among other things, the story about lawyer Nicholas Cieslewicz, who, as Latkowski stated, was supposed to have threatened the publisher of “Wprost”. He also expanded on his statement in an interview with “Dziennik Bałtycki”.
After this situation, a lawyer from Tricity filed charges against Sylwester Latkowski. He believed that the director had committed defamation and therefore took legal action. According to the Wirtualne Media portal, as a result of the ongoing trial, Sylwester Latkowski was sentenced to community service, a PLN 500 fine and reimbursement of trial costs. The director appealed against the verdict, but it was upheld by the second-instance court. Only the obligation to perform community service was abolished. Instead, Latkowski must pay a fine of PLN 6,900.
“This is not the first time that, despite such and no other court judgments, inconvenient facts have been shown. I will not be intimidated or discouraged into giving up on the subject. I am waiting for the justification of the judgment, which concerns a part of the case. For me, this is not an issue. closed,” Latkowski said.
