On Tuesday, for the first time in a long time, TVP Info broadcast live a press conference of opposition politicians who, before the meeting with the president, announced that they jointly intended to establish a new government.

In recent years, TVP Info has avoided showing the opposition in a neutral context, and before the elections the tone was either clearly negative or none at all – the opposition was not shown at all. This slowly changes after the elections.
On the occasion of the election of the new government, TVP Info showed a broadcast from the Sejm on Tuesday. The opposition’s press conference was honored by an immediate critical comment from a guest invited to the studio. Later, a symbolic “strip” was also shown, referring to the “four horsemen of the Apocalypse”. However, the change is visible, which was quickly noticed on X (formerly Twitter). It was also the first situation in a very long time when it was possible to hear Donald Tusk’s unedited statements (apart from the pre-election debate).
When asked to assess the statement of opposition leaders, Michał Karnowski, a columnist for the weekly “Sieci”, stated that the conference was both a request and a threat at the same time.
It’s not entirely clear whether they are asking or threatening, he said.
The statements of individual politicians were accompanied by a strip with the inscription: “The 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse are pressuring the President of the Republic of Poland to appoint Tusk as prime minister.”
