The Ministry of Culture and Heritage presented the Ecuadorian Register of Museums, Historical Archives and Libraries (Remab)a digital platform that will facilitate the articulation and consolidation of the network of social memory repositories.
The platform will also spread the country’s cultural wealth and access to museums, historical archives, libraries and other repositories of social memory. in a georeferenced manner on a national scale, the entity indicated.
The presentation event took place at the Museum of Anthropological and Contemporary Art (MAAC) in Guayaquil.
Hugo Calle, director of the MAAC, assured that this state portfolio is in line with citizens by presenting this platform. βWe have managed to open and access the entire social memory contained in museums, archives and libraries through this instrument, which is a reality today.β, he indicated.
For his part, Eduardo Bravo, Undersecretary of Social Memory, developed a detailed explanation of how the Remab platform works.
