In a statement sent to American media such as ‘People’, the couple says that they ended their relationship six years ago. “Although they will always care for each other, they have chosen separate lives,” they announced.
The actress and the sculptor thus end a long marriage after Streep received the award Princess of Asturias 2023, a ceremony in which he wore his wedding ring. Both have had four children: Henry Wolfe, Mamie Gummer, Grace Gummer and Louisa Jacobson. In addition, they have five grandchildren.
