Previously, the Redemptorist received as much as PLN 200 million from the Ministry of Culture. However, it turns out that this is not enough. Without further funding, his project may not be fully implemented.
Rydzyk is asking for financial support again
As reported by Newsweek, father Tadeusz Rydzyk is trying to get more millions. Reason? Without this money, the “Memory and Identity” Museum cannot function at all. The monk indicated that he needed as much as PLN 8 million to pay a cleaning company, energy handlers, and security guards. Newsweek journalists decided to ask whether the annex to the contract with the Redemptorist had already been signed. However, representatives of the Ministry of Culture did not answer the question.
The Lux Veritatis Foundation recorded a decline in revenues
It is also worth mentioning that the Lux Veritatis foundation recorded a decline in revenue last year. As we learn from media publications on this subject, its profit decreased from PLN 1.4 million to PLN 197.5 thousand. zloty. The foundation’s profitability also decreased – from PLN 2.4 million in profit to PLN 214.8 thousand. With less cost reduction last year, net profit amounted to PLN 197.5 thousand. zloty. Compared to 2021 (PLN 1.4 million), this is a significant decrease. In addition, lower returns on donations were also recorded. Importantly, they constitute the basis for financing Lux Veritatis. In 2021, they amounted to PLN 44 million. However, the following year this amount dropped to PLN 38.4 million. According to the findings of the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal, revenues from the sale of products offered by Lux Veritatis decreased from PLN 12.06 million to PLN 11.51 million.
