In recordings on her TikTok profile, Klaire De Lys talks about how to manage a household budget to minimize living costs in the face of high inflation. As the days are getting colder and heating bills can seriously damage your savings, she decided to share with her followers her methods for keeping a warm apartment without turning on the radiators. In the series of recordings “How not to freeze this winter”, he talks about, among others: about products that will be useful at home to warm up the interior.

How to heat your apartment without turning on the radiators?

Klaire’s observers pointed out that in 2023 everyone should have the comfort of using heating. However, the reality is different. Many people have to minimize costs to make ends meet. A TikTok user suggested that we first prepare for frosty days and make sure we have all the necessary products at home.

Her list included: warm blankets, woolen socks – or cheaper equivalents that are insulated, fingerless gloves that will warm your hands and will not interfere with performing household tasks, and candles – preferably ones that burn for minimum six hours. The woman admitted that these are small things, but having them up her sleeve makes a huge difference. “Candles give a lot of warmth, especially in small rooms,” she emphasized.

“Cold feet are unbearable”

Later in the recording, she pointed out that it is also worth having bottles of hot water. At least two per person, which can be used as a hot water bottle and used to heat e.g. a bed. She also suggested warming the feet with one and the chest with the other. “Cold feet are unbearable. When your chest gets cold, you catch a cold easily,” she said. She also advised buying a fleece sweatshirt and a warm scarf. Thank you so much in the comments. Some of them knew her tricks perfectly. “Hot water bottles immediately make you feel cozy under the blanket,” wrote one of the commenters. “Yes to woolen socks!” – added the second one. Someone also suggested remembering the curtains.
