Suzanne Somers died peacefully in the morning hours of October 15. She lived with an aggressive form of breast cancer for 23 years. Her loved ones were with her – husband Alan, son Bruce and family. Everyone was supposed to gather on October 16 to celebrate her birthday. Instead, we will remember her extraordinary life. We want to thank the millions of fans who loved her, wrote the actress on Instagram.
Suzanne Somers has spoken out many times about her fight against cancer. After it was detected, the disease would attack again from time to time. Each time, however, remission was achieved – the actress survived for another 23 years after her first diagnosis thanks to treatment.
As you know, two decades ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The disease comes back from time to time, and I overcome it again. I use the best conventional and alternative medicine at the same time. This is not unknown territory for me. I know how to put on armor and go into battle, she recently wrote on social media.
Since 2001, she has been no longer active in her profession. She used the acting fame she gained thanks to her appearances in “The Love Boat”, “Starsky and Hutch”, “Three’s Company”, “Step by Step”, “Full House” and “Hollywood Wives” to promote her books in lifestyle topics.
