Until recently, hair transplant surgery was a taboo subject. Men were ashamed to talk about it out loud. However, more and more often they are open about this topic and do not feel embarrassed. As we can see on social media, the most frequently chosen destination for the procedure is Turkey. The question arises – is it because there are such good specialists there? Or is the price more attractive? In the latest episode of “We have time”, experts – trichologist and chief hair transplant technician Katarzyna Mróz-Kozłowska, as well as hair transplant coordinator Patrycja Zawodny – explained it to us.

Why do Poles transplant their hair in Turkey?

Not so long ago, we associated Turkey mainly with holidays, Poles’ favorite holiday destination, but when we think about this country now, the first thought that often comes to mind is plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine treatments. There are plenty of recommendations on social media from local doctors who perform them. One of the most popular – which can be seen, for example, at the airport in Istanbul – is hair transplantation. There are also Poles among the patients. Why is there so much interest in this procedure in Turkey?

Maybe it’s because of their ignorance that in Poland we have many good specialists and good clinics where such procedures are also performed. Not necessarily at very high prices. Patients are often lured by the promotions that Türkiye offers them

– explains Patrycja Zawodny, hair transplant coordinator.

How much does such a treatment cost? It turns out that the price is influenced by many factors and it is impossible to rigidly determine the price without assessing a specific case. Moreover, not every patient can be qualified for such a procedure. – If it turns out that the area from which we take the grafts, i.e. the occiput, is insufficient for such a procedure because the defect is too large, unfortunately, but in our clinic the patient is informed that such a procedure will not be performed because its effects and his expectations as a patient will certainly not be what he would like. As for Turkey, we know it is different. There, the quantities given for grafts are very large, which is often deceptive, because Turkey does not define grafts as a hair follicle from which several hairs come out – that is, there are single grafts and multiple grafts – but divides them as one graft – one hair – adds Patrycja.

How to get rid of bags under the eyes? 48-year-old Kasia shows a facial massage that will help with this

In the second part of the program, our expert Katarzyna Złotkowska (@zlotkowska.jogago)which is yoga teacher using the BKS Lygner method and founder of the website she showed us what to do to get rid of bags under the eyes. It turns out that we don’t need expensive creams or treatments, our hands are enough. In the first step, we need to clean our face for the massage, wash our hands, and apply cream or oil so that it glides gently, but is not too greasy. Interestingly, we do not start the massage with the face, but with unblocking the lymph channels. See for yourself in the new episode of “We Have Time” what it should look like.
