What is widow’s pension? Up to PLN 7,600 for seniors
Widow’s pension is a project of the Left, which assumes a more favorable solution for. According to him, after the death of their spouse, they could:
- keep your pension in full and collect 50%. benefits of the deceased,

- collect 50 percent his/her pension and the deceased’s entire benefit.
The amount of the benefit received under the widow’s pension is to be limited to a maximum of three times the average old-age pension, i.e. currently up to PLN 7,625. In addition, people insured in KRUS and uniformed pensioners could also benefit from it. Since the project was initially stuck in the parliamentary freezer, a collection of signatures was started, which ended with success. In July, the project was discussed for the first time.

Some time ago, a second proposal appeared regarding support for widows. Instead, trade unionists from “Solidarity” proposed introducing a new allowance, which would amount to PLN 900 per month. This would be an extension of the care allowance currently available to seniors over 75 years of age and amounting to less than PLN 300. According to the idea of ”Solidarity”, after the age of 80, the allowance would double, and after the age of 85 it would amount to PLN 883.17.

However, this is not the end of ideas for changes. According to reports, the government also proposed a new solution. What is it supposed to be? Currently, as part of the survivor’s pension, commonly known as the husband’s pension, a widow may receive the following benefits:
