Directed by María Goiricelaya, the Spanish version will premiere from November 2 to 5. Goiricelaya herself has been in charge, together with Lucía Astigarraga, of making the adaptation of the film with which Thomas Vinterberg revolutionized cinema in 1998, forming part of the movement called Dogma 95.
This production produced by the Teatro Arriaga is an adaptation of that film, “a disastrous treatise on the hypocrisy prevailing in the social relations of the upper class and in families, a blow to our conscience,” the Bilbao theater has indicated.
The play in Basque will be performed on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th at 7:00 p.m.
The ten performers are Egoitz Sánchez, Mikel Martinez, Lander Otaola, Ane Pikaza, Ione Irazabal, Nagore González, Olatz Ganboa, Aitor Borobia, Kepa Errasti and Loli Astoreka. Along with them, the girl Aiala Mariño Jauregui also performs.
