The death of Katarzyna Miernicka was announced via social media by, among others, actor Józef Mika. The artist published a photo with the actress and included the date of her death. Wiktor Zborowski also said goodbye to Miernicka. “Kasia Miernicka, an actress, has passed away. It’s too early. Sleep peacefully, Kasia,” he wrote.

Katarzyna Miernicka died on October 4. The cause of the actress’s death was not made public, but in recent interviews she emphasized that she withdrew from acting due to the amount of stress that cost her the profession. The malaise also affected her physical health.
“I was literally exhausted of energy. I started looking for a method that would give me relief, respite from swinging emotions, and above all, allow me to find a relative balance in my life,” Radio Zet quotes the actress. After ending her career, the actress found peace in other activities.
“I was introduced to yoga and it wasn’t long before I heard about tai chi and qigong. When I first saw my Chinese teacher demonstrate slow and graceful movements, to my great surprise and joy, something inside me understood what he was doing ” – said Miernicka.
Katarzyna Miernicka gave up acting before her death
Katarzyna Miernicka graduated from the Acting Department of the State Drama School in Warsaw. In the years 1987-1999 she performed at the Ateneum Theater in Warsaw. She made her debut on the big screen thanks to the film “Paradise Bird” by Marek Nowicki. She also worked with the director a few years later on the filming of the TV movie “Night Scenes”. In 1990, she joined the cast of the series “W Labiryncie”. Five years later, she played the mother of the title character in the film and series “Awantura o Basia”. Katarzyna Miernicka became known to a wider audience as Anna Strzałkowska – a nurse at the “El-Med” Medical Center in the series “Klan”.
