Doda sings about motherhood in her new song. This can be the anthem of many women

Doda has been saying for many years that she does not want to become a mother. Some time ago, she announced on social media that she would write a song about motherhood. This one appeared on the reissue of the “Aquaria” album, which was released this week. The lyrics of the song, although written in English, are very strong and you can feel that the artist gave vent to her emotions.

Dorota “Doda” Rabczewska has been active on the Polish music scene since 2002. It was then that the first album of the band Virgin, in which the artist was a vocalist, was released. Currently, Doda is 39 years old and it can be said that when it comes to her musical career, she is currently experiencing her second youth. Her latest album “Aquaria” went double platinum, and the singles from it became big hits.

Doda decided to create a song about motherhood. It’s a strong and necessary piece

For many years, the singer has been emphasizing in various interviews that she does not see herself as a mother. In this way, she fights against the stereotype that the greatest goal in a woman’s life should be motherhood. On the reissue of the album “Aquaria”, which was released this week, the artist decided to surprise everyone and included a song on it titled “Mom”.

This is one of the most interesting songs on the reissue of the album. Although she sings in English and the whole thing is in a dance atmosphere, you can hear the sincerity coming from inside the artist. Doda says directly that she doesn’t want to be a mother, and the only thing she cares about is finding honest and true love.

The song can become a kind of anthem for all women who do not plan motherhood. Some of the lines in this “Mama” may surprise you. Especially the direct address to one’s mother in the song’s chorus. Below is its translation:

Listen, mom, mom, I don’t want to be a mom, mom, oh no, I haven’t found the one If I do this, it’ll be enough I’m still looking, looking for love

However, in the chorus verses, Doda talks about how important it is to live in harmony with yourself and not give in to society’s pressure. He also draws attention to the fact that motherhood should be a conscious choice, because his upbringing has a very large impact on how he will behave as an adult.
