William is a ten-year-old corgi who has spent his entire life at the side of his beloved owner. The faithful dog and his master had only each other, but unfortunately fate separated them. The man suddenly died and for many days no one except the dog knew about his death. The corgi stood next to the body until the services broke into the apartment.

The Corgi went to the shelter

In the blink of an eye, the dog’s whole world collapsed. He was taken from his safe apartment to a shelter. This new and terrifying situation for the dog made it distrustful and aggressive. With each passing day he became more and more distant from people.

His behavior also threatened the safety of other animals in the facility and reduced his chances of adoption. The shelter authorities considered him dangerous to the environment and decided to put him on the list of animals to be euthanized.

Activists took matters into their own hands

William’s story reached local activists. Anchors Up Rescue Group deals with the rehabilitation of older animals and animals perceived as aggressive. They took the 10-year-old animal under their wing and took up the challenge to find him a safe home. They worked on his behavior every day and over time it brought results. The dog became more and more open to others. His story moved people so much that he managed to find a new owner. Now he lives with a new caregiver and is happy.
