This role of Burstyn in the new film is historic, as Robinson claims: “She is an extraordinary actress and we knew what she could bring to this film and the rest of the cast; She is the center of the story. “Not only is she an incredible actress, but when audiences see the relationship she has with Fielding and the girls, they will be blown away.” Jason Blum, also a producer at the multimedia company Blumhouse, added that Burstyn is in the lead role form connects the DNA of the film with the original.

The result of all the production work is, as Blum says, a fascinating, dramatic, dark and creepy story. For Green, it turned out to be a cinematic experience like no other, and it was like a real ‘rollercoaster’ of emotions finding joy in the darkness, and a sense of community in loneliness.
