Katarzyna Cichopek surprised! She encourages Polish women to take part in the elections, but she has turned off comments

There are just over ten days left until this year’s parliamentary elections. Many people from the world of media encourage people to take part in them, especially women. The group of such people was joined by TVP star Katarzyna Cichopek, which surprised some Internet users. The celebrity posted a short video on Instagram in which she encourages Polish women to vote, and then blocked the possibility of commenting.

There are less than two weeks left until the elections to the Sejm and Senate. Many people believe that these will be the most important elections in Poland after 1989. The stakes are extremely high because the opposition has a real chance of taking power from PiS for the first time in eight years. Experts say that young women will play a major role in the election results, as artists and journalists are trying to mobilize them to go to the polls on October 15.

The TVP star encourages women to vote. Comments are blocked

On the Internet, you can come across many grassroots social campaigns that aim to show women that their voice matters and what they may lose if certain political parties come to power. However, many famous women also try to encourage their fans to vote on their own. Surprisingly, one of such people turned out to be Katarzyna Cichopek, who has been one of the faces of TVP for many years, which is completely subordinated to the authorities and manipulates the information provided.

The actress and presenter published a video on Instagram in which she encourages women to vote. At the same time, she emphasized that her profile is a place where she shares her private and professional life, but she also wants to talk about important things, such as elections.

Hello, dear ones. This is a place where I show you my lifestyle, where I recommend interesting places, but it is also a place where I want to talk about important things. And such an important event is fast approaching. These are parliamentary elections. And I address these words primarily to you, girls. We don’t give up, we go to the elections. I’m counting on you. I won’t tell you who to vote for. It is important that you go and vote in accordance with your conscience, with yourself and with your heart. So I don’t treat it as a “civic duty”, because that’s obvious. Treat it as a place and time where you can express what you feel by voting for your candidate. So, girls, in short: I’m counting on you – he says in the recording.

Cichopek refers to the Million Hearts March? Some Internet users think so

Katarzyna Cichopek certainly guessed what the reaction of some Internet users might be to this recording, so she disabled the ability to post comments. Working on government television, which is associated with an unfriendly narrative towards women in the ruling camp, is at odds with the actress’s message. Some recipients may perceive this as hypocrisy, but there is no direct way to accuse the presenter of this.

Interestingly, some Internet users admit that at the beginning of the recording, Cichopek may be referring in a disguised way to Sunday’s Million Hearts March, which was the largest opposition demonstration after 1989 in Poland. She says that her profile is watched by over half a million people and if you imagine these half a million, it will be a large crowd. It is not known whether the TVP star actually winks at the fans and whether she would actually like the government in Poland to change. He certainly cannot say it out loud, but, summa summarum, it is very good that he encourages people to vote.
