Football and music, the two pillars of David and Victoria Beckham’s life, were unwavering sources of income for this iconic celebrity couple. Despite retiring from the playing field and Victoria devoting herself fully to the world of fashion, her empire known as Brand Beckham has seen incredible growth.

This empire has managed to generate an impressive 22 million euros ($23 million) in annual profits, a feat not only attributed to its football, music and fashion activities. Surprisingly, a significant part of the profit comes from an unexpected area: perfumes, publishing newspapers AS.

Debate on social networks over the look that Antonela Roccuzzo gave to David Beckham, was it flirtatious?

David and Victoria Beckham perfumes have become a cornerstone of their brand, entering the industry in 2005 with the launch of Instinct for Men.

But that was not their only attempt, as in 2010 they presented Intimately Yours, aiming to capture the core of their passion and the strength of their relationship, a commercial in which they both starred.

These are joined by other fragrances exclusively designed by Victoria, such as Porfino ’97, Suite 302 and San Ysidro Drive, each evoking a different moment in the life of the singer and businesswoman, along with David and her family.

It is worth mentioning that David and Victoria were not pioneers in this industry, as the legendary Sophia Loren paved the way in 1981 with her Sophia fragrance.

After that, other celebrities – like Elizabeth Taylor, who made sales worth 1.5 billion euros; Britney Spears, with her perfume Curious, which sold 500 million; and Beyoncé, who raked in €400 million with her fragrance Heat—joined the perfume business.

Amid this success, David Beckham has another reason to celebrate. Next Wednesday, October 4, will mark the launch of his new documentary series, Beckhamon Netflix.

This documentary promises to offer a unique look with never-before-seen footage, following the meteoric rise of David Beckham, from his humble beginnings to the pinnacle of world football. (D)
