Euskaraz irakurri: Duela 20 urte Artozkin desagertu ziren 31 artelanetatik 14 “anonimoki” agertu berri dira
The Itoitzekiko Solidarioak collective has inaugurated today in Pamplona an exhibition of works of art that disappeared 20 years ago. After two decades missing, these works have now appeared “anonymously”; specifically, 14 of the 31 missing. The works were carried out by artists such as Zumeta, Gorriti or José Ramón Andawhen they were preparing to demolish the town of Artozki and as a means to support the movement against the works of the Itoiz reservoir.
“Satisfied” with those that have appeared, yes, but the group has denounced that “there are still many more” works to be located. A total of 31 works were made and donated by the artists to the movement that emerged to defend the people of Artozki.
To prevent Artozki from being flooded, Itoitzekiko Solidarioak and the Neighbors Affected by the Itoiz Reservoir platform carried out a resistance exercise for 16 days. In the end, however, the Civil Guard and the Foral Police evacuated the town, demolished the houses and took away the works of art.
In theory they were in some official residence, according to their own words, but now they have reached them “anonymously” and they did not want to give more details. In addition, they have been told that there is no trace of other works of art.
For all these reasons, they have asked the Government of Navarra to clarify the facts and for the 21st of this month They have organized a protest day in Aoiz.
