The world media reports about a runaway bride and groom who did not pay for the wedding reception and then left the country. According to information provided by the authorities, the spouses most likely fled to Germany. It is possible that they will try to get to Poland from there.
They did not pay for the wedding reception and fled the country
The wedding reception, to which about 70 people were invited, took place near Frosinone in the Italian region of Lazio. Right after an elegant party in a restaurant, the newlyweds left the country without paying a bill of PLN 8,000. euro (approx. PLN 37,000). According to Italian media, the husband is a 40-year-old owner of a small construction company from Ferentino. His wife, in turn, is a 25-year-old Polish woman who has been living in Rome for a long time.
They agreed with the restaurant owner to pay after the wedding
After the tasting, the bride and groom chose the wedding menu and agreed with the restaurant owner that they would settle the bill after the wedding reception. Unfortunately, they did not show up at the scheduled meeting – the man tried to contact them, but to no avail. Finally, he went to the bride and groom’s house on his own, but he found no one there. The neighbors told him that the last time they saw the newlyweds was on their wedding day. The restaurant owner then notified the police.
The officers quickly managed to determine that the 25-year-old Polish woman and the 40-year-old Italian had flown to Germany with the groom’s parents. The services suspect that the fugitives will try to get to Poland, where the bride’s family lives.
